ISIB Students’ Works Stand Out in Dublin Institute of Technology
Ms. Belinda, Basic Design teacher from BSM plans a 7-day study trip to Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT). In early 2015, big-time works of three students from BSM stood out from a wealth of candidates, to participate the exhibition in DIT campus.
Their works demonstrate from different perspectives the personalities of contemporary youth, conveying the theme of the exhibition.
The Design philosophy of Dong Xiaochen’s work comes from Chinese College Entrance Examination, which focuses on a pack of cigarettes on the poster, implying how students nowadays bear the pressure that they shouldn’t have to.
Li Xiaoning’s poster is inspired by Sheila Rock Punk Show in Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art on September 27, 2014, which speaks the voice of all punk rock fans: "punk is not dead".
Qinli’s poster showes us the ordinary wearisome life behind the "shining" decent job as a flight attenant.
"My poster is originated from my girlfriend; she is a flight attendant student in Xi’an City, our hometown" says Qinli.
