The Eighth ITALK Event

On Oct 30th, 2019, the 8th ITALK organised by the Institute of Swiss International Branding-was held at the Detao Masters Academy, Shanghai.

ITALK (Institute talk) is a platform that connects Chinese students with international business professionals. It was initiated by Prof. Florin Baeriswyl, who also devised China's first Bachelor's course in Brand Strategy and Management, here at SIVA·DeTao in Shanghai. His promise has always been 'every student will get a job'. And the purpose of ITALK is to help students prepare for internships and jobs in the future.

Grace Shen
Associate Director of You Plus Programme in PwC
Grace has 20 years of experience in human resourcesfor multinational companies. She has worked as a training manager in ZARA, Resource Development Manager in Louis Vuitton Group and Head of Human Resources Business Partners in Greater China of Victoria's Secret.Grace talked about employment standard and development trend of luxury and retail industry. She highlighted the importance of creativity and career planning.

Jett Fu
Cofounder and CEO of AIRPOP, Cofunder of Tipping Point
Jett has worked as the senior manager in several European and American corporates which made him experienced in various fields such as research and development, engineering, marketing, sales and so on. He has also participated in many projects such as operating team building, corporate strategies M&A and oversea expansion with rich experience of team building and team mananging under enviroment of B2B and B2C. Jett analyzed opportunities for a new brand under the new consumption trend which let students think in depth during his speech.

ISIB Student Representatives

YICCI year 3 student, talked about her idea of branding which is seeing, thinking and creating. Meanwhile she said she will keep great passion in brand learning.
Danco year 2 student, showed the works in his freshman year and shared his understanding of brand. He hoped that he can create better works in the future.
Vivian as the representative of freshman year, concluded the experience in the first several months to show the passion and expectation of brand learning.

In the end, Dr. Christian Camenzind, investor and independent board member of Credit Suisse and Sophia Guo, Manager of PwC Innovation Centre highly spoke of ISIB students and showed his huge support to ITALK. Florin showed his appreciation to Grace and Jett and expected that ISIB stdents can have a deeper understanding in brand through learning.

Through the eighth ITALK, students learnt more about luxury industry and gained a deeper understanding of new brands. This event has offered students a new point of view which is good for them to think in depth in brand learning.
