Take A Glimpse of Branding: Branding Workshop in Tianyuan

On July 2nd, Davide Pizzitola from SIVA-Detao Master Advanced Class Branding Strategy & Management delivered a branding workshop to teachers in Tianyuan senior high school.

The workshop had three sessions. In the first session, Mr. Davide introduced the definition of branding with cases and elaborated the three pillars of good branding, which are truth, quality and consistency. The group work of first session is to be Starbucks product designers and design different kinds of products with categories of kindergarten, shoes, hospital and dress. Teachers’ task is to integrate Starbucks’ branding value in their specific design.

The second session was to create personal KOL (Key Opinion Leader). Nowadays, everyone can be a KOL, so do teachers! Based on general knowledge of branding, teachers designed their video content according own interests. One of teachers positioned her KOL content as “promote pure natural vegetables and natural lifestyle”. In addition, a detailed video background was also well designed which left a deep impression to all audience.

The third session was the logo design. Teachers were asked to design a logo for previous KOL products. Presented here is some of works.

The workshop is not only a chance for teachers to know branding, but also enable them to be open minded and innovate their teaching method in later classes. One of teachers said that with rising of Chinese companies, branding value would be more and more important as a company’s intangible asset. Numerous soft skills, which are vital for further personal development, can be acquired in the branding workshop as well.
