Brand Strategy Master Florin Baeriswyl’s Speech in Peking University: Why Branding

On March 29th, “Why Branding” opening speech of series "Dialogue with World Innovation Masters" was held by Florin Baeriswyl, DeTao Master of Brand Strategy. The event was jointly hosted by the College of Engineering of Peking University and De Tao Masters Academy. The lecture was also joined and chaired by Ms. Li, the Associate Dean of College of Engineering of Peking University.

As the founder of Swiss DAI Brand Consulting Company, Master Florin Baeriswyl has won multiple Red dot, iF and Good Design Awards. For the past 30 years, he offers his services to numerous world-known clients like Nestle, and Deutsche Bank. In addition, Professor Florin Baeriswyl is entitled as the professor of SIVA, bringing his brand design ideas and global insights to China.

Peking University is the top and most selective university in China. With 50,000 students, Peking University plays a critical role in China’s education, cultivating talents across various fields and industries. College of Engineering of Peking is one of the most well known colleges in Peking University. The students and professors are conducting cutting-edge research in fields ranging from physical sciences to industrial management.

In the warm up session, Professor Florin Baeriswyl had a short communication with students which helped students to know more about the professor and branding. In the lecture, Professor Florin Baeriswyl explains how to develop creative and critical thinking and how brands are build and value created.

Student learned simple and fundamental rules in successful branding, which is based on the following key pillars: "truth", "quality" and "consistency”. Part of Prof. Florin Baeriswyl’s works in China and Europe were also presented to students for them to have a more tangible idea about branding.
