ISIB Students Won An Award of Brilliance Auto Competition

Ding Qiuyu, Chen Kewen, and Lin Zhiwei, seniors in Brand Strategy and Management of SIVA • Detao Advanced Class, participated in the final of the First College Maker Design Competition of Brilliance Auto at Guanghua School of Management in Peking University. Attendees were as diverse as leaders from National Center for Schooling Development Programme, Brilliance Automobile Sales Company, China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Red Dot China, 898 Innovation Space Technology Co., Ltd., and College Makers Workshop, as well as experts and scholars from universities, enterprises, and relevant industries.

The major category of the competition that Ding Qiuyu, Chen Kewen, and Lin Zhiwei participated in was marketing design named “Creativity Collection, I’ve Got My Own Way”. They made a presentation according to the modules of research, marketing planning, promotion, and cost analysis, showing the great talent of students from SIVA•Detao Advanced Class. They finally won the Bronze award after a fierce competition with 27 teams (competitors) from both home and abroad and with another 3 international teams selected in the Asian Division simultaneously.

The First College Maker Design Competition of Brilliance Auto 2017 was one of the most important events of the practice platform for university-enterprise cooperation initiated by the National Center for Schooling Development Programme. The competition, lasting for 6 months, was held at 40 universities in 7 divisions, among which 38 are project 985 and 211 universities, including the universities of Tsinghua, Wuhan, Fudan, Nanjing, Jilin, Sichuan, Nankai, Shandong, and Xiamen, Xi ' an Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Southeast University, and Beihang University. There were a total of 12259 teams (competitors) from 812 universities providing with 3473 pieces of works. After the preliminary round, the resurrection, online voting and expert review, 27 teams (competitors) were through to the final - every 9 teams (competitors) in industrial design, intelligent traveling design and marketing design respectively. Every design category sets one gold, silver, and bronze award.

Led by Professor Florin Baeriswyl, ISIB(Institute of Swiss International Branding) with an international faculty, is aimed to make students experience the whole process of branding, positioning, creating, communicating and advertising through a series of brand case studies and brand-building projects as well as professional knowledge. They will become professionals eligible for both brand management and marketing.
